The Altura Jacket is designed to become the new reference sailing jacket for those who sail regularly, from weekend sailors to those competing in winter championships along the coast. It replaces the previous Coastal Jacket, marking a clear step forward in terms of materials, construction and comfort, while maintaining a more accessible positioning compared to ocean-grade gear. The two-layer construction with inner lining is a deliberate and functional choice. It does not require the complexity of a three- or four-layer shell, yet it delivers high levels of protection and comfort, with a more substantial fabric body and a reassuringly solid feel when worn. The fabric provides 20,000 mm waterproofness and 30,000 g/m²/24h breathability, ensuring effective protection from rain and wind while maintaining good comfort during activity. The DWR (Durable Water Repellent) treatment helps water bead off the surface, while mechanical stretch—achieved without the use of elastane, to enhance abrasion resistance and long-term durability—improves freedom of movement and fit during manoeuvres. The collar is high and protective, with a fleece lining to increase comfort on colder days. The high-visibility hood is stowable inside the collar and designed with reduced volume, making it less bulky and more stable when worn. The front closure is protected by a double-flap system with a drainage channel, designed to enhance protection against water and wind. The cuffs are adjustable with a dual internal and external system to improve sealing and comfort. The chest hand-warmer pockets, with side access, offer practicality during on-board use. Reflective applications on the shoulders improve visibility in low-light conditions. The jacket is longer at the back for better coverage and features a reinforced seat area, a functional detail that increases durability during frequent use.
