Speed, foil, adrenaline: ready to fly?

×
There is a new class making waves - one that is revolutionising the international sailing scene. The class everyone is talking about: the Switch. Full carbon, peak-performance foil, designed to soar across the water with just a few knots of wind. Agile, technical, essential. A boat tailored for those who can’t go fast enough, but also want to feel the boat, read the wind, and tame the balance in every manoeuvre. In fewer words: pure, accessible and adrenalin-pumping foiling.
The Switch goes extremely fast, upwind around 18 knots, downwind it gets up to 25, and then up to 30-32 knots, when it's really windy, so you have to wear clothing that, for my needs, is fairly tight, so as to create as little friction as possible. It has to be as snug as possible, although other people like to wear more comfortable and loose-fitting sizes, but I think the snugness can help you gain a little bit in terms of speed. It is also important to have a high level of protection, especially at the beginning. So, protection from the sun, from the water, but also from getting bruised. This is why the use of a wetsuit, a life jacket and boots is always recommended at the start because foiling is a very sharp discipline and initially falls are just part of the learning curve. And the shrouds can become dangerous steel cables so you need to be wearing extra protection, such as the wetsuit, one that is a perfect 1.5 mm thick for the summer month

The Foil Rashguard is recommended for sailors, surfers and water sports enthusiasts looking for advanced sun protection, extreme elasticity and abrasion resistance. Ideal for those who spend many hours in the sun or in challenging conditions and need total freedom of movement.
